  1. Version 2.10 (August 1991)
  2.   - First dual mode version.  Operates as FREEWARE in the absence
  3.     of a registration key.
  4.   - /N parameter.  The QBBS style EXITINFO.BBS drop file may now be
  5.     bypassed by using the /N as a command line parameter when starting
  6.     the program.  The DORINFO1.DEF file is still required unless either
  7.     the /D or /L command line parameters are used.
  8.   - /L parameter.  Buccaneer may now be played in local mode by using
  9.     using /L as a command line parameter when starting the program.
  10.   - /D parameter.  GAP style DOOR.SYS drop file is now supported by
  11.     using /D as a command line parameter when starting the program.
  12.   - /Kn parameter.  Automatic old player killer.  Will remove any players
  13.     who have not played the game in n days.  Game defaults to 365 days
  14.     if this parameter is not specified.
  15.   - /B parameter <registered only> permits toggling of log-on/log-off
  16.     beep.
  17.   - New menus, some file name changes.
  18.   - Separate help menu.
  19.   - Lottery is now a "Scratch-N-Match" format instead of "Pick-4".
  20.   - User flag #16 implemented to keep players from playing lottery more
  21.     than once per day.
  22.   - Daily maintainance now checks to see that all player ships have money
  23.     on board.  If onboard cash is $0, 10% of a player's buried treasure is
  24.     placed onboard to give other players a chance at a big score.
  25.   - Identity Change option dropped.  There was a serious bug in this
  26.     option that permitted players to be reincarnated if they knew the
  27.     right keys to press.  "I" key now brings up program information.
  28.   - Expert and ASCII versions of game play are now the same.
  29.   - Faster menu displays, hotkeys still active but no longer interrupt
  30.     display of ANSI screens.
  31.   - Information on sunken ships no longer displayed.
  32.   - Crippled version of BUCKEDIT now included with archive.  Same key
  33.     that unlocks game also unlocks options on BUCKEDIT.
  34.   - Buckedit no longer requires EXITINFO.BBS to run.  Still will not
  35.     run with DOOR.SYS file though.  Will try to fix that in the next
  36.     version.
  37.   - "Cheat" display of other player's GOLD and STRENGTH locked out in
  38.     freeware mode of the LIST function.

  40. Version 2.02b (Nov. 5, 1990)
  41.   - Bug in BUCK202.EXE and 202A.EXE which prevented end of month
  42.     roll over of new champion to "Last Months Champion" corrected.

  44. Version 2.02a (Oct. 22, 1990)
  45.   - Bug in BUCK.MNU display corrected.  Version 2.02 sometimes crashed
  46.     after displaying a variable number of menu screens, the exact number
  47.     seems to have been based on when disk access occured last and your
  48.     FILES= variable in CONFIG.SYS.  The same correction has been made to
  49.     BUCKEDIT also in case the bug was hiding there too.

  51. Version 2.02 (Oct. ?? 1990)
  52.   - Program now supports multi-task systems.
  53.   - User flag #1 has been implemented.  When the player chooses Xpert mode,
  54.     this flag is set.  When the player joins the game the next time, the
  55.     Xpert mode is automatically turned on.
  56.   - Ships log may now be read in normal or reverse order.
  57.   - Hotkeys now permit players to interrupt welcome screens, cheat switch,
  58.     the lottery and the main menu.
  59.   - Kludge screen.  Pressing "K" will redraw the ANSI screen in the
  60.     event of line noise.
  61.   - Menu for ANSI players is now contained in an .ANS file.
  62.   - More attractive ANSI welcome screen.
  63.   - Crew and Guns are now displayed for player information.
  64.   - Extraneous information dropped from Y (Your settings) command.
  65.   - Telescope function is much improved.
  66.   - Listing players in "cheat" mode now lists players strength, and
  67.     gold onboard as well as other vital information.
  68.   - Program now requires a registration key to operate.  Future versions
  69.     will run in "freeware" mode in the absence of this key.
  70.   - Buckedit now picks up player data at the exact point that you
  71.     exited the game instead of several moves previous.
  72.   - Buckedit now displays all player data, all treasure ships and
  73.     the spanish armada while you are editing.
  74.   - Buckedit documentation has been separated from game documentation
